My BIOS Setup is as requested:

Default setup
Disable LAN/WLAN Switching
UEFI Hybrid with CSM
Disable FastBoot

My USB was create by other Hackinthos (booted by clover) and Gatekeper disabled.
Package are download yesterday.

I Followed these step:

• Initialized 16GB USB3 Drive
• Selected "to BigSur"

TEST 1

• REMOVED ALL any file *.aml in /EFI/OC/ACPI/ [SSDT-HMF and SSDT-IGPU]

4540S Boot with ONLY THIS USB and one hard drive,

F9 -> Boot From EFI File -> Selected EFI USB DRIVE -> Selected EFI -> Selected OC -> OpenCore.efi ----> "BLACK Screen"

TEST2

What's is going on?

Hey bro, Turbo boost is not working on HP EliteBook 8470p. I have enabled VT-x in Bios and using Intel Power Gadget.

My 8470P has i5-3210m,1366x768 display,bcm94322.
Well I'm new to opencore.

Follow strictly every step of Chris,installed big sur,found the camera not working.

Then installed Monterey,found before patching,there's already sound & wifi,after patching,no wifi,no sound,HD4000 works well with 1.5GB vram.I guess some nvram stored in the bios,need to delve into this later,even don't have to input wifi pass,already connected.

Then a third install of Monterey,this time no sound & wifi after installation,patched after installation,everything works.

Only the camera doesn't work.It shows up in the system information,but when launching the photobooth,the light did light up,but dark in the supposed camera capture area.

I tested with Ubuntu live,carema works normally.

What can I do to fix the camera?

The system information shows :

Hey Chris,
Did you try to connect hi-res external displays to your hackintosh?
In my case, everything works nearly great but the UltraWide monitor with 3440x1440 is able to operate on at 1080p only.
Whereas in Windows I can get it works, perhaps in Linux as well (not tested).
Will appreciate any advise.

Here's the only issue after I installed Big Sur on my HP 8470p: dim screen (roughly 70% max brightness)

Having done some investigation, I found that it could be related to the default PWMMAX value that's associated with the spoofed model MacbookPro13,1.

For Skylake, the backlight-level is 0x56c.

However, for Sandy/Ivy Bridge, the value should be 0x710.

Tried changing the UID from 0x10 to 0x14 in SSDT-PNLF.aml, according to https://raw.githubusercontent.com/RehabMan/OS-X-Clover-Laptop-Config/master/hotpatch/SSDT-PNLF.dsl. And the brightness is back to the maximum without brightness adjustment.

Also tried to set the "backlight-level" value to 0x710 in config.plist, but it just didn't work as the value remains 0x56c every time the laptop boots up.

You seemed to have spoofed the model to Coffee Lake which injected 0xffff as the PWMMAX value. Seems like it worked but not sure if it would damage the hardware.

Any idea have this issue fixed?

I'm still trying some other methods but could hardly find references for HD4000 with Big Sur.

I don't know if this is an issue with Apple Silicon, but the USB installer is seemingly hung on "Installing macOS wait . . . .". Here is a screenshot:

I have given the program over an hour to run, SIP is disabled and so is gatekeeper. I ran caffeinate -d in another terminal to make sure my Mac doesn't sleep. Is there anyway I can fix this?

I installed Big Sur 11.2 on my HP Elitebook 9470m.
So far everything works fine but there is no sound from the internal speakers, although the system detected the internal speakers and the internal microphone is working well.
Can you please help me what do try?

I followed your guide to the letter and was able to run Catalina on my 8470p with i5.
However, I could not get wifi to work. It’s a DW1560 ( Bcm94352z ).

I can boot onto the installer, but after the first two blocks of boot screen text, the display changes to this:

And finishes with this:

When moving the mouse I can see something moving on that screen, so it does not hang/freeze. A resolution problem? I tried setting resolution to 1366x768, or to Max, played with forceResolution and reconnectOnResolutionChange -- no change.

I have HP Elitebook 8470p with Big Sur followed all your steps. Everything is perfect. The only problem is It does not record any audio from a 3.5 mm 3 poles external mic. But it works flawlessly on Windows 10 and 11. I have another mic of 3.5 mm with 4 poles, It works great. But Hackintosh does not support 3 pole microphone. Please Help me I know you are Guru.
I am attaching System Report here. You can also see it is recognized by Mac but It is like a silent mic.

Besides it everything Works great Speakers are working great internal mic works great, I also have fixed the brightness issue by putting UID value 12 (Hex) in SSDT-PNLF.aml. It is even more bright now than windows.

i have some software like cs6 must use maverics! have some apps must use monterey!

First of all thank you for providing such useful HP hackintosh tutorial. I just followed your tutorial to make installer USB and tried to boot the USB and all I got is black screen. I already added -igfxvesa but still the same.

Hardware Spec:

1. HP Probook 4540s i3-3110M version
2. 1920 x 1080 screen resolution
3. 16GB of RAM
4. System BIOS Version: F.68 ( Could this cause the probem?)

What I did:
Downloaded the repository (HP-Probook-EliteBook-Package-Creator-OC) downloaded the Mac OS Big Sur and Catalina from AppStore. First, I tried with Big Sur.

• Ran Gatekeeper.command to disable Gatekeeper
• Ran Packager.command which created
• Selected options A and B, one after another
• Then created bootable USB using Install Media HP Laptop OC.app
  this process finished with a warning saying could not copy some icon (don't actually remember).
  and pressed ok and this app was closed automatically and did not open any other app like saw in video instruction.
  So I ran the HP-Probook-Elitebook-macOS.pkg and selected the pen drive on which I created the bootable USB.and finished the process. After this, I tried to boot from USB on my laptop.

My BIOS have:

• Fast boot disabled
• SATA AHCI(I have only this option available)
• My USB is USB 3.0 and I am trying to boot using my laptops USB 3 port (USB 2 port broken)

Problem:
After booting from USB it only shows the reset NVRAM option and if I press enter it turns off and comes back with the same option. Before this option shows up on the screen this message quickly appears and disappears. it says (OC: Failed to find ACPI DSDT.aml)

Sorry if I am doing any mistake could not find anything on google about this issue.

I have an HP Elitebook 8470p i followed all your instructions
i boot from the usb it goes through all the verbose stuff and then when it supposed to load the install it just shows a blank screen. I have an external monitor connected though displayport and it shows the mouse and I can move it but the main laptop screen is just black (its on it shows but nothing).

Any advise? I followed the instructions on your video to the letter...

Normally boot even I can see Graphic 1536MB but dock & menu bar still solid color (no hardware acceleration, check by VDADecorderChecker).
When I go to Apple tv and open any tv show/film, it will be freezed.
I need force restart by power button, after boot again dock and menu bar become normal (transparent) and I can see Hardware acceleration is fully supported (check by VDADecorderChecker).
Could you give me some advice?

unfortunately i unable to switch to intel HD since there is no option in bios.
and amd radeon only show 3mb which is make display too low.

My PC is an HP Probook 4440s (i3) and I installed Big Sur following your instructions.
Before upgrading to BS, I was using Catlina also installed following your tutorial with Clover. Unfortunatly, I had to move to Opencore because I could not configure Clover to boot Big Sur.
When I boot into Windows using Opencore I get this:

And when I boot using Clover (not working for BigSur) I get this:

When I boot using OC I get one unrecognized device: ACPI\FAN00000\2&DABA3FF&0
And HP Support Software does not recognize my PC as HP.
Is this normal? Any way to fix it since I couldn't configure Clover

Hey Chris. I’m running a 8470p with an i7-3820qm. 16 gigs of 1600.
I have been testing your tool with big sur and I was able to create and install but after the post install I’m stuck on a black screen. It’s the 1600x900 screen to. The only way I can get it to boot to a desktop is if I include the igfxvesa bootarg. I have catalina installed as well and it is acting the same way. I have a clover setup that boots Catalina perfectly but I’d like to try big sur and maybe OC if I can get it working. Got any ideas? Your guide is pretty straight forward and it not my first rodeo but I have no clue what the issue could be.

On the 8470p with HD4000 gpu. The boot arg -wegnoegpu must be used for Catalina and Big Sur or you will get no video acceleration

Everything is working , only the card reader can't work.
I am sure the card reader is OK on windows 10.
Also the SD card host controller can be found on PCIe with Hackintool

I have put macOS Big Sur on the USB, and I have configured the bios correctly for my computer. When I try to boot through the USB, it just boots from my SSD, and when manually navigating to the EFI file, it hangs with the screen still on but nothing showing. How can I get my machine to boot?

Not an issue tbh, but can be added the support for the zbook G1? (Haswell, have Rehabman patches as the elitebook and probook)

Everything is working (including HD4000 patch) except Audio and Bluetooth.
when booting in verbose mode I can see some ACPI errors

But my processor is the i7 3720qm and its turbo boost is 3.60 ghz. However the turbo boost is never activated. The frequency always goes only up to 2.60 ghz. Can you help me?

I don't know if the problems are related or not.
If there any way to fix that?
I had to use VBoxHFS.efi instead of HFSPlus.efi during and post install because HFSPlus caused panic kernel.

The only issue I am facing is Brightness is dim, 70% of original brightness also the graphic quality is low. It looks like the CPU is getting low Power. Moreover, In system Information, my processor is represented as 2.6 GHz core i7 processor but it is actually Core i5. I am using the default SMBIOS it is MacBookPro15,4.

I just installed Big Sur on my i3 ProBook 4440s using your apps. Everything goes fine but I have a question:
When I check config.plist using Opencore Configurator I can see some yellows and reds.
Did you configure the config.plist on purpose for this machine or shall I change the yellows and reds to meet Config Checker specs?
Will changing this affect the performance or connectivity or something else?
Why ig-plataform-id is not set? Not needed it?
What about GlobalConnect on APFS?

I have a HP Probook 6570b. I created a BigSur USB-Installer with a Macbook. Now when I try to boot from the USB-Stick it doesn't work. In the next part I will explain my different aproaches to boot from the stick and what happend fails. I tried three different Boot-Methods.

1. Select the USB-Stick as bootmedium. In this case my normal windows partition boot.
2. Select "Boot from extern media". In this case the boot menu freezes. The mouse and keyboard aren't usable any more.
3. Select the efi file on the usb to boot. In this case the screen turn black.

I followed your guide step by step and I have a low resolution screen. I reflashed the BIOS multiple times with multiple versions and reseted the settings. My two guesses for the error would be 1. the BIOS is broken and 2. the USB 3.0 Stick isn't working and I need a 2.0 Stick. Or, another guess that comes to my mind, do I need exactly a 16GB USB-Stick or should be larger also okay?
Is this a known issue? What could be the problem? And how could I solve it?

I just installed your package creator Big Sur and everything worked perfect I did it downloading the latest version which says has the fix for the DisplayPort Intel 4000 high. Im still no getting the DisplayPort to work perhaps something I did wrong>?

Hi Chris I had a mojave installation of hackintosh, and i used your tool hp pro tools elitebook creator (an old one) and after using it, i had both high res laptop display (intel 4000) and my displayport external monitor. Any chance there is something different in the driver for Big Sur that is installed in the New hp package creator?

can't boot.so i reinstall big sur by usb installer(that installed big sur 2 month ago) but now it after installation complited and reboot to desktop,stuck at page that i attached.

Hello. problem is that after boot when the apple logo should appear then i only get a black image. However, I realized that the installation starts just throwing the image on the Display Port to an external display and the laptop display is black.

I followed the instruction and apparently everything is working fine.
But, HWMonitor is not showing any CPU frequencies :

So, i'm in doubt if the correct cpu is being used with the correct power stages

Hello, I have HP Elitebook 9470m i5... I installed BigSur 11.1(20C69) and did the post installation correctly but nothing works, only graphics acceleration
The audio works only when I install VoodooHDA manually but couldn't manage to get everything else work. I was on Mojave and everything worked perfectly except for wifi because of the incompatibility.
