convoy's Issues

Option to preserve extensions in the final package define() calls

In node.js when adding "native" support for coffeescript you have to keep ".coffee" in require paths so that node would look up correct compiler in require.extensions (according to http://nodejs.org/api/modules.html#modules_file_modules node will only look for js/json/node extensions).

So if you write your app using require('../name.coffee') notation everywhere and then try to package with convoy, all file extensions are lost from the file names and no require() calls resolve correctly.

Does that make sense?

commonjs analyzer fails for many arguments to require() statement

If you use a statement other than a single string as an arguement to require() convoy (via the commonjs_analyzer will fail). For example:

var rootPath = '../something';
myModule = require(rootPath + '/moduleName');

throws the exception

"Cannot find module '+' (required in blah blah blah)"

It works fine if you just a string.

[Questions] Deeply integrating with convoy

  1. I'd like to manually add a file to list of files to watch that the asset_packager builds automatically. How?
  2. I'd like to know when the package is rebuilt so I can push updated stylesheets and to connected users. I tried listening to the 'invalidate' event thusly:

pipeline = convoy {...}
pipeline.on 'invalidate', ->
...do stuff

but the event seems to only fire once.

@charlesjolley or @vizo maybe you guys know? HALP.

Also thanks charles, keep up the good work!

[Question] 'invalidate' event

I'd like to know when the package is rebuilt so I can push updated stylesheets and to connected users. I tried listening to the 'invalidate' event thusly:

pipeline = convoy {...}
pipeline.on 'invalidate', ->
...do stuff

but the event seems to only fire once.
