checkupdates-cron's Issues

Using tail to watch "current"

Consider changing line 27 to:

cp "$dir/current" "$dir/last"

Using mv results in the following error:

tail: ‘/var/tmp/checkupdates-cron.opeeba/current’ has become inaccessible: No such file or directory
tail: ‘/var/tmp/checkupdates-cron.opeeba/current’ has appeared; following end of new file

I can use 2>/dev/null to eliminate the output if there is any reason to prefer mv.

merge upstream or create package

Thanks for this, I've been using it for years.

It would be great to have this included upstream. Did you ever ask upstream to include it in pacman-contrib? That would be really cool.

Alternatively, would you like to package this as Arch package?

Thanks, and keep up the good work!
