How did I build this EFI from scratch

  1. Dump DSDT table on Windows using AcpiDump with the command acpidump.exe -b -n DSDT -z
  2. Open up dumped DSDT.aml on macOS using MaciASL and apply the following patches
    • _RehabMan Laptop
      • [bat] ASUS N55SL/VivoBook
      • [igpu] Brightness Fix (HD3000/HD4000)
      • [igpu] HD4000 Low Resolution
      • [sys] IRQ Fix
      • [sys] OS Check Fix (Windows 8)
    • ASUS
      • Generic Series 7
    • AsusSMC
      • [als] Fake ALS
      • [fn] F2 Key
      • [kbl] Ivy Bridge
    • Note: There might be more or accidentally left out patches that I can't recall when patching my DSDT
  3. Use chris1111's config.plist as the base
  4. Add recommended .aml files from dortania's OpenCore guide
  5. Add EHC1, EHC2, EUSB, USBE, XHCI, XHC1, EC0, H_EC, ECDV, _OSI renames using Hackintool to config.plist (Some might not be required, left out or outright wrong to add but what's important to me is that it works)
  6. Disable SIP in config.plist, edit csr-active-config with the value 7w8AAA== (For HD4000 patch installation)
  7. Add kexts and .aml files to config.plist
  8. Add -v keepsyms=1 debug=0x100 alcid=28 -no_compat_check to boot-args in config.plist (-no_compat_check might not be required)
  9. Add some additional file system drivers to config.plist and EFI/OC/Drivers
