While filling up the supporter form i entered the full URL which additionally added up with http://hackcodeofconduct.org/ and hence i did another entry. Kindly delete the previous one. I also find out that maybe due to this confusion there are so many duplicate or incorrect entries on the page.
When I go to update and submit my email the page errors:
The change you wanted was rejected.
Maybe you tried to change something you didn't have access to.
If this can't be solved can I have my details removed manually somehow?
Thanks for your help.
https://hackcodeofconduct.org/hackpompey is the page to be removed and the email that errors

On the page to edit my signature, the page gives me the error message that my phone number, in the format xxxxxxxxxx or xxx-xxx-xxxx, is invalid.
There is a reference to law enforcement as:
Hackathon staff will be happy to help participants contact any local security or local law enforcement
Is it worth making it more explicit in the next section? Perhaps by including language like:
If a participant engages in harassing behavior, the hackathon organisers may take any action they deem appropriate, including warning the offender, expulsion from the hackathon with no refund (if applicable), or reporting their behaviour to local law enforcement.
Just to make it clear that illegal behaviour won't be swept under the carpet.
Hi, I used the Hack Code of Conduct for a past event and wanted to repurpose my signature / custom version for a different upcoming event (run by the same organization). I was wondering if there was any way to edit the URL / update the contact info for an existing signature, or if I'd have to create a new for each event (and just have duplicate signatures on the document). Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks!
EDIT After quickly browsing through the code I'm guessing that this is not possible since the SupportersController
doesn't have any edit
/ update
actions. Let me know how you think I should proceed.
Hi, I'd love to use this for an event I'm helping organise, but I couldn't find any reference to what licence you've released the text under (at which point I'm assuming it's considered copyrighted?)
Would it be possible to specify a licence, perhaps either under public domain or Creative Commons Attribution 4.0, along with guidance around if a link back to your site is required?
I'm not sure what the right way to fix it would be, but it would be great if it were clarified that a refund might not always be applicable.
