When your VS Code is running on a Windows desktop, and you're connecting to a Linux host it fails to explore files and uploaded files have backslashes. So it creates a new directory on the linux host in the format of:
/home/user/code/project1\directory1\file1

This is obviously invalid so it doesn't save into the code project but instead creates:
project1\directory1
project1\directory1\file1

Slashes need to be reversed depending on target OS.

How to usage with key file?

I attempted to use this in the vs studio marketplace, gave it my RSA Key, password:null, host, and username, and it says it works but does not. I can only sometimes catch it trying to authenticate on my ubuntu server.
How do I troubleshoot this?

From my JEFFTP output menu:

I confirmed the file did not change on the server, and know of any way to test this.

There is no example sftp.json file which makes a user have to source-dive to figure it out.

Also, the whole VS Code window needs to be reloaded in order to re-read the sftp.json config file. An auto-reload config on change would reduce a lot of friction.

These two things would increase user adoption.

Where could I find a sftp.json sample ? Where every available field is visible.
