When I go to Settings > Import (Beta), I am stuck in a full white screen. Using the back gesture does not work. If I swipe up to hide the app, and then re-open it, it returns to the notes screen, as if the app had crashed.

I think the custom order sort option should be called “custom order” and not “custom date” 😅

On F-Droid[0] is a link to the App Website[1] which results in a '404 Not Found'.

Dear Maintainer,

On 0.24.1 from f-droid, when scrolling the intro slides at the first start, the app contacts donation.carnet.live and qn.phie.ovh without asking for consent. F-droid calls this privacy violation a Tracking AntiFeature to be marked on their app page. But is it really necessary? Thanks

I installed Carnet via FDroid. I am using version 0.25.1 on a Google Pixel 7 running Android 14 Grapheneos. When I open the app, skip the syncing options, and press the "Create a note" field at the bottom of the screen, the app immediately crashes. When I re-open Carnet, I see that a new blank note has been created. If I try to tap on the note to edit it, the app also crashes. This makes the app unusable.

J'ai noté un petit bug ou peut être une amélioration à proposer.
Lors d'une recherche à l'interieur d'une grande/longue note, l'application met en surbrillance le mot recherché (top!) seulement s'il y a plusieurs mots il est impossible de passer des un aux autres.

I connected on linux carnet app and then everything disappeared on Android. After 6 months my trust has plummeted to zero

Nowadays, Carnet v 0.22.1, it is possible to create empty options in To-Do lists, by going back.

I think it would be a great idea to avoid this kind of things, for example using this kind of solution (on Python):

message_on_todo=input().strip()

That last .strip() would avoid an empty option.

I was looking and trying every FOSS note app and I found carnet and it is the best among all. I was using it since 5-6 days but yesterday when I reinstalled carnet and linked it to my nextcloud to get my old synced notes it just keep on closing and creating blank notes.

When I use the car: ' in the title area of a note the text is not implemented.

Just try it and you'll see.

When tiping speedily, the cursor goes back to the middle of the word and consequently it's not other way to write correctly but tiping slower.
This occurs on to-do lists, on general notes and on titles.

Using:

• Carnet 0.22.1, from F-droid
• AnySoftKeyboard (only happens in Carnet)
• Google's Android 7
• Vernee Thor E smartphone

Fastlane uses BCP47 locale tags, which use a - as the separator rather than _. There are a number of locales that use the _ here. Please rename those dirs to use -. Thanks!

I'm using syncthing to sync my notes. I use it for other apps too, like KeePass, so I generally maintain a /storage/emulated/0/_data folder, which is synced, with subfolders for each application

When I change my main storage location for carnet to /storage/emulated/0/_data/carnet folder, the app no longer works and cannot create any notes.

Item's layout has a responsive issue on my phone.
It should be handle with a flexbox, then the "delete" cross will stay properly in the container.

Just make a fresh installation of Carnet on my Android phone / Linux computer / Nextcloud server and sync them all.

On android i created a folder, in the folder i created tasks and notes.
When i'm in a folder (Folder viex by default) and click to back (android swipe gesture to back) the app crash/close and a message for a bug report appears.

I use it on a Fairphone 4 under IodéOs (Android 11 LineageOs fork).
No google service but MicroG implementation.

I exported my notes and looked in the zip and found binary .sqd files. I can't find a program that opens these. I've had to lose my notes too many times due to software changes. If I can't keep a backup in a common format, I would be sad to have to stop using Carnet. Would it be easy enough to add the ability to export a zip of text files?

I'm trying to connect to the Nextcloud app on Android, and I cannot choose to open with Nextcloud, instead I can only choose to open with APK managers, like Google Play Store.

Android Version 12.
Nextcloud and Carnet apps are up to date.

Could this be an issue with the Carnet app?

Background.

I've tried all "tasks", "notes", "shopping" apps on F-Droid looking for a Google Keep alternative. The main outstanding feature of the Keep is that that app shows a pop-up during the typing if the text matches previously checked items. There are no apps that have the same feature.

Expected behavior.

• A user creates a check-boxes (e.g., "buy milk", "buy bread")
• User marks some check-boxes as "done"
• Later, the user starts typing "buy m" and a pop-up appears suggesting to autocomplete the whole string "buy milk" because the text is between done items in the history.

Advantages.

No need to type again and again the same things every week. Autocomplete with one click will save time and guarantee smooth user experience.

I have made a new note in the app, then closed it. Opened it later to see it's gone. Similarly, after adding more text to a note and leaving the app, I later discovered that the changes had been discarded. The app is so unreliable on my phone that it's practically useless.
