Fill lakes with water + Compose all in one image

Hi Carlos,

first of all, many thanks for your great work - the code works fine and I adapted it already, e.g. by a function-based linewidth depending on the edge-length, instead of the step-wise if-queries.

I have two questions however: Might be not that hard as I am quite new to coding in the GIS field...

  1. How can I fill lakes, the sea, but also rivers with water. So probably get them as a shape and then fill it instead of handling it (rivers etc.) as edges. I came across the following code, but couldn’t merge it with your code, yet: https://stackoverflow.com/questions/62285134/how-to-fill-water-bodies-with-osmnx-in-python [Picture1]
  2. How can I plot both in one image, the "road map" and the "water map". So like a final "compose" of the two graphs Gwater and G? [Picture2; river is red ;)]

Thank you very much in advance.
Looking forward to your answer.

Best,
Christian

PS: I overlaid the images produced by your code afterwards in gimp. However the saved image files do not have the same size, although they are both figsize=(27,40). Do you know the reason for that as well?
