Trying to install any/all loops for garageband, using
"loopdown -a garageband -m -o -i"
And just getting back "loopdown: error: argument -i/--install: not allowed without: -m/--mandatory and/or -o/--optional"
I've tried shifting arguments around, adding/eliminating/etc and can't seem to get install flag to work.
When using the --create-mirror
option, is it possible to have loopdown test if the package already exists on the mirror before downloading?
I would like to automate running loopdown regularly to keep my mirror up to date but I would prefer not to download the 890 logic packages every time.
Thank you for the very useful tool :-)
Hi,
Thanks for developing and updating Loopdown.
I've been exploring your "Loopdown" tool for managing sounds and loops and have a simple question: does it support applications located in custom directories, such as /Applications/Audio, instead of the default /Applications? We distribute numerous applications and organize them into sub-folders within "/Applications", but it seems Loopdown expects them to be in the root "/Applications" directory.
If this is the case, I would like to request a feature update that allows specifying custom paths/locations for applications. Alternatively, using mdfind
to locate the application path by bundle ID could be another solution.
Describe the bug
I get this error when trying to run loopdown. Packaging is installed. Any ideas?

Add any other context about the problem here.
Trying to see if we can target specific logic loops, so downloading the plist logicpro1080.plist and then removing everything but the section I want (Legacy, which is item 19 under //Root/Content/en/) from the plist, then pointing loopdown at that with
sudo ./loopdown -o --plist ./logicpro1080_test.plist -n --create-mirror /Users/Shared/
Results in python errors. Is this something that should work?

Describe the bug
Trying to download Mandatory packages for Logic Pro results in
loopdown -m -a logicpro --create-mirror /Users/Shared/logicpro-mandatory
Processing content for: 'logicpro' via 'https://audiocontentdownload.apple.com'
No packages found; there may be no packages to download/install or no application/s installed
Does same for optional.

Overview of Issue
Loopdown versions 1.0.20230621 or 1.0.20230706 fail to run. I am using the following string of arguments and am receiving this output:
MacBook-Air:bin root# ./loopdown --app 'all' --mandatory --optional --install
['-m/--mandatory', '-o/--optional']
usage: loopdown [-h] [--advanced-help] [--version] [--log-level [level]] [-n] [-a [app] [[app] ...] | -p [plist] [[plist] ...]] [-m] [-o] [-f] [-i] [-s]
[--create-mirror [path]] [--cache-server server] [--pkg-server [server]] [--discover-plists]
loopdown: error: argument -i/--install: not allowed without: -m/--mandatory and/or -o/--optional
I receive the same error when using the shortened arguments as well as removing the quotations from the for the app string.
I do not see this issue when running the same set of arguments in v1.0.20230531. Am I missing additional arguments?
Describe the bug
Receive the error shown below trying to mirror GarageBand Mandatory/Optional loops:
loopdown: error: --discover-plists-range not allowed without argument: --discovery-plists
The arguments I'm passing to the binary are:
./loopdown -a garageband -m -o --create-mirror /Users/TestCapture/Desktop/GB_Downloads
