The guide states:

An RRULE property can appear at most once in a calendar component.

The spec does not seem to mention anything about this limitation though and the validator also does not complain when adding more than one RRULE property

Is the idea to put more human readable text to it? https://devguide-calconnect.rhcloud.com/History may be factual correct but is imo unreadable.

Idea from today was, adding a feedback option at the bottom of each page of DEVGUIDE to get input from users, if the information provided was reasonable or not.

Identifiy Tools/Forms/Features needed and Obligations coming with that idea.

Document problem and lead to published paper and TC

The override in the example at https://devguide.calconnect.org/Data-Model/UID/#handling-uids-inside-recurrent-events has a RECURRENCE-ID which is not part of the recurrence set. The original event recurs at 11:00, but the RECURRENCE-ID says T120000.
DTSTART and DTEND look pretty bogus as well. The original event spans 3 days but recurs every day (which means the instances overlap) and the override doesn't actually change anything.

Create an entry about dicovery of the service

• help e.g. don't decline - delete event

We would like to move some of the content from these sides (e.g. implementations) into the DEVGUIDE.
Decide how to do it and find someone who will put the effort into it.

During the latest call somebody mentioned to have a schema related to JSCalendar, which could be put on DEVGUIDE for being provided. Will be included in some skeleton pages for JSCalendar. Make it a top level folder next to iCalendar. Also nothing about XCal and JCal there as well. Mike will put something in.

check/add references to CalConnect in wikipedia on calendaring and scheduling related articles.

I miss an introduction and guidance for the reader. Is there an idea of who should read it, why and with what idea should the reader leave this guide? Looking at https://devguide-calconnect.rhcloud.com/Table-of-Contents a lot of content is missing.

How to save proper time zone information, handling time zones and change of them over time.

Including how to deal with DST?

Using and iPhone 4 software version iOS 7.1.2 (most up-to-date) for this version of the iPhone.
Have imap mail set-up and it works fine.
Have the calendar (caldav) set-up and it works fine. I see calendar items from the server and am able to synch across.
Have contacts (cardav) set-up and it works fine. I see contacts from the server.

However, when I'm in the calendar app and add a new event, there is no invitee option. I cannot send it to others. Can anyone help? Thanks.

Adding a LICENCE file at the root of the project is the typical way the license is communicated. I think it would be a good idea to include it here too.

The devguide subdomain is not in our certificate at the moment hence users get a warning when using https. Do we want to add this (or any) subdomain to our cert?

There are two chapters for time related information in the TOC:

3. Handling Dates and Times
4. Timezones

Think about how to combine those two to make it easier for reader to find the relevant information.

On 6th of January we received the following Feedback:

You need to provide vCard examples. You do provide examples for Calendar entries but these are not the same. I found a good general discussion, but it lacks the specificity required for programming.

Suggestion would be to add here a page like this one about the Data-Model and this one about a simple event -> vCard.

As a developer of a server which can render webcal feeds or of a client which can consume webcal feeds, I'd like to have some guidance. Possible topics:

• use and meaning of iCalendar METHOD property
• content-type
• Etags
• if-none-match header
• subscription upgrade
• best practices for clients
  • how to "discover" good behavior on a server
  • how to deal with bad behaving servers
• common pitfalls
  • why not to return "current time" as "last modified"
