mean-variance-standard-deviation-calculator-fcc's Introduction

Hi there! My name is Caio Tomás.

I am currently an aspiring Master's student of Applied Mathematics at the University of Brasília and a Business Intelligence Analyst at Núcleo de Mídia Banco do Brasil (NMBB).

I'm really passionated about math and science. If you let me, I'll speak hours non stop about these topics! A brief view on what I am currently learning/involved with can be find below.

Current research

🔭 🧲 I'm currently on a research project on the compression of a granular layer composed of repelling magnetic particles, under the orientation of professor Yuri Dumaresq Sobral (here's his curriculum Lattes, ResearchGate profile and website).

Other experiences

I have also done other research projects while an undergrad at UnB. You can check them in detail at my curriculum Lattes. Here is the list of them, with the topics of research resumed for the sake of brevity and ordered older to recent:

  • I did a PIBIC (Institutional Program of Scientific Initiation Scholarships, in free translation) on Knot and Braid Theory under the orientation of professor Sheila Campos Chagas (here's her curriculum Lattes and website) (August 2019 - September 2020);

  • I did a research on Projective Geometry under the orientation of professor Lucas Conque Seco Ferreira (here's his curriculum Lattes) (September 2020 - November 2020);

  • I did another research under the orientation of professor Lucas on The 3 constant curvature geometries as subgeometries of the Projective Geometry, collaborating with my colleague and friend, Matheus de Freitas Souza (here's his curriculum Lattes) (January 2021 - May 2021);

  • More recently, I did a research on The formalism of Special Relativity, under the orientation of professor Luciana Maria Dias de Ávila Rodrigues (here's her curriculum Lattes) (June 2021 - November 2021);

Other experiences

  • Fiz um PIBIC (Programa Institucional de Bolsas de Iniciação Científica) na Teoria dos Nós e Tranças sob a orientação da professora Sheila Campos Chagas (aqui está o seu curriculum Lattes e website) (Agosto 2019 - Setembro 2020);

  • Fiz uma pesquisa em Geometria Projetiva sob a orientação do professor Lucas Conque Seco Ferreira (aqui está o seu curriculum Lattes) (Setembro 2020 - Novembro 2020);

  • Fiz uma segunda pesquisa sob a orientação do professor Lucas sobre As 3 geometrias de curvatura constante como subgeometrias da Geometria Projetiva, juntamente com meu colega e amigo, Matheus de Freitas Souza (aqui está o seu curriculum Lattes) (Janeiro 2021 - Maio 2021);

  • Mais recentemente, fiz uma pesquisa sobre O formalismo da Relatividade Especial, sob a orientação da professora Luciana Maria Dias de Ávila Rodrigues (aqui está o seu curriculum Lattes) (Junho 2021 - Novembro 2021);
