Space Evader is a simple Pygame-based game where the player controls a character to avoid falling stars. The goal is to survive as long as possible without colliding with the stars.
Make sure you have Python and Pygame installed on your system. If not, you can install Pygame using the following:
pip install pygame
- Clone the repository to your local machine:
git clone https://github.com/ByteBender24/Space-Evader-Game.git
- Navigate to the project directory:
cd Space-Evader-Game
- Run the game:
python game.py
- Use the arrow keys to move the player character:
- Left arrow: Move left
- Right arrow: Move right
- Up arrow: Move up
- Down arrow: Move down
- Avoid colliding with falling stars to survive.
- The game displays elapsed time, and stars are added at regular intervals.
- Press the close button (X) on the game window to exit the game.
- The game window size is set to 1000x800 pixels.
- The background image is loaded from "./assets/bg.jpeg".
- Adjustments to player speed, star velocity, and timing intervals can be made in the code.
This game was created using Pygame, a cross-platform set of Python modules designed for writing video games.
