TheAudioDb now has available back and spline artwork for some CDs and it would be great if we could scrape that as well.
The files are stored as thumbback.jpg and/or spine.jpg in your local album folder.
There are several new Kodi skins that are supporting this artwork

When selecting more than one TVShow, scraping new episodes is not possible (it is if only one TVShow is selected).

It would be nice to have the possibility to set scraper settings like language on a directory basis.

In a Folder structure like shown at the end of my post i have different folders for english and german movies. Right now, i can't scrape them at the same time because i have to change the language setting for the scrapers. So the possibility to have sraper presets/profiles to save and choose from, and assign it to the different directories would be awesome. In the Picture i attached a quick retouch how i imagine it.

MediaElch is showing icons for the presence of the poster, fanart,... Would it be possible to also add an icon for the presence of subtitles? In the case of TV Shows, I would suggest to place an icon next to each episode. Moreover, an icon for the presence of a thumbnail next to each episode could be useful, too.

Finally, could you also add tooltips to the icons of the TV Show section?

This same feature would be great for music videos and music sections as well

It would be great if you could consider improving the file renaming tool in MediaElch to include the following features:

1. Rename at the moment of scraping info (not in two separate tools, actions)
2. Rename files and folders at the same time (starting with files, ending with folders)
3. Include episode name (according to scrapper selected) in a file and/or folder renaming
4. Adding a custom suffix (IE: 1080p.WEB-DL.EAC3-5.1.x264)
5. The option to replace "spaces" with "periods"
6. Be able to remove diacritics in files name and folders name

It would be nice to have a function to exclude a folder from a scan.

Example:

Would like to see ability to store actor and people.nfo's in central location and write path substitution to the nfo's.

I don't use the .actors folder with kodi. I use a central actor folder with path substitution. So i can point all nfo's/kodis to a central storage for all actor thumbs and people.nfo's. This is the only reason I haven't started using mediaelch for my movies/shows.

Benefits are one image. Faster scans, faster backups, less storage consumed, if i change one image, all are changed. all images for same actor are identical, easy to add my family members to home videos same as actors. Easy to customize images for actors. More flexibility if features change with other media centers.

Hi,

First of all, I would like to thank you for the contribution you are giving in maintaining and improving MediaElch.

Sometimes, a TV channel broadcasts two or more episodes of a TV Show without showing the theme of the show between the episodes. In this case, it would be odd to split the file containing the recording in several files containing only one episode, as only the first episode contains the TV Show theme.

As far as I know, kodi understands for example strings like S01E01E02 for a file containing the first two episodes of the first season of a TV Show.

Would it be possible to enhance the renamer in MediaElch to rename such files to include the subtitles of all the episodes available in the file?

This might perhaps be already possible, but the links to the explanations about the renamer are both broken: the link in MediaElch 2.4 as well as the link in MediaElch 2.6.

Thanks in advance for anything you can do about the issue.

Provide the ability the lock fields on a per movie/show basis to prevent an accidental change during scraping.

I would like to have an advanced settings tab/panel in the settings dialog. So that I don't have to add a XML-File which might be outdated at some point if newer MediaElch versions add more settings. :-)

MediaElch uses the system locale to set the UI language. I would be nice to be able to change it in the settings dialog.

There are no good sources for genre, styles or mood online. I spend time making sure my songs are tagged correctly with useable data, especially genre. I think most people do. Would be great if ME coud read and use these tags from the audio files for the NFO's. Or atleast be able to turn off/select what one wants ME to scrape and save to the NFO for music and music videos.

The Filter feature only supports more than one search term in the AND condition.
It would also be good to have the OR condition.
And maybe an Advanced Search screen like this one below.

There should be an icon or a text in the TV Show overview to check fast if there is something missing and/or an filter option to just show shows with missing episodes.
