Description

This is a web application and browser extension duo designed to take a UMN class schedule and extract the class data out of it. The user can then add these classes to their Google Calendar on either a new calendar or an already existing one. They can also select the dates to add their classes to their calendars.

Extensions

The extension adds a button to MyU so students can add their classes to their calendar with one click.

Add local storage

Incorporate local storage to persist classes across uses in case of error. Make sure there is an option to remove the current classes and re-upload new ones.

Error Handling on Backend

Send error message if there is an error in parsing an image on the backend. Currently, only a 502 error is sent back, which is very unhelpful.

Calendar exports as 2021 instead of upcoming 2022.

The calendar exports the spring 22 semester as 2021.

Export to .ics

Add option to export the class calendar to a .ics file for use with other calendar apps

Issues with Google Auth

The GCal client is null upon loading, and the components cannot read the signed in status of the user. As a result, nothing can be done with Google Calendar.

Add new class if not recognized

Add the option to add another class in case it was not recognized.
