thanks for this useful extension. Indeed, it'd be super useful to be able to grab this from central (so that we can avoid problems in the area of chicken and eggs).
Perhaps we are being too fancy with our implementation. Maybe it would be better if, instead of recreating the config programmatically we should follow all the suggested config settings in pom.xml and then programmatically find the Codeartifact repository and only set the URL (if not set) and password (to be the fetched token).
