I'm working on a child theme of leaf. Leaf it's very well built,
but
in child theme we cannot ( or I don't know how ) control the length of excerpt.
I propose to remove all "wp_trim_words" and create a filter on "excerpt_length".
Is this possible ? thx

I've well seen your comment on the function leaf_entry_meta() for child themes,
and I would still ask you not to force the formatting of the date.
It's practical for localisation to not force format on get_the_date() ( then WP use settings )

Using Leaf I am very happy with theme.
Problem: The main menue (superfish) is not shown in my IE 9, however in other browsers it works fine. (Failure popup: Ein Anzeigeproblem bei [URL …] hat bewirkt, dass IE die Website mithilfe der Kompatibilitätsansicht aktualisiert hat.)
Found various postes pointing out, that this problem is caused by the IE z-index bug and give all kinds of recomendation (i. e. position:relative; z-index:999;) but I can't figure out where to put additional definitions.

Just installed your theme, beautiful. However, I can't get the home page to look like your screenshot, i.e. the slider with blog posts underneath on the home page. You have in your options help: "To setup your blog page all you have to do is add a new page and from the "Page Attributes" meta box, under "Template", select the "Blog" template and then click update."

When I do that, I have to name that page, which then makes it not the home page but a page with the domain name + slug, which shows a blog-style page, but the home page (domain) does not show posts.

I have looked at the theme options and have the category selected that one post uses, and cannot ctrl-click to show other categories, btw. Am I missing something?

Hi. I love the Leaf theme, but I'm having trouble with the sizing of the images in my slider. For some reason it only renders a very small image of the images in my post and then leaves the rest of the image area grey. You can take a look at my site at www.whattodoinottawa.com to see what I mean.

Looking forward to resolving this issue. Any help that you can offer would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

With the update the home page slider isn't working when you select all categories to display within in it. If you select just one it starts working again. I'm not sure if it's just my website or theme but it worked with all categories before the update.

I really want to change the posts that are displayed under "More Articles" and just have it show the most recent posts. As well, I would like to be able to choose with posts appear in the slider? Can you please let me know how to do this? Thanks!

Hi, I was wondering if you could take a quick look at my site http://www.traveltrailerblog.com/, just recently switched to your theme, which is great however the slider doesn't display on IE10. It seems to work fine in chrome though?
