reactjs-adminlte's Issues

The sidebar navigation is not working because jquery is not getting applied

Tried running buttons.html from views. The sidebar navigation is not working. And the screen doesn't show up 100% height. What I figured out is, the jquery-2.1.4.js isn't getting applied and this is the reason for both the above problems. The same jquery js file is getting applied in the header. The dropdowns in the header is neatly working. Please let me know what is that I'm missing.
I've not made any change to the code. The problems are existing in the code available according to me. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

Using separate prop values instead of object

Currently, props get passed to components as an object, rather than separate values.

var infoTileOptions = {
    theme: 'bg-aqua',
    icon: 'fa-envelope-o',
    subject: 'Messages',
    stats: '1,410',
    content: ''
};
<InfoTile options = {infoTileOptions} />

This approach makes validating props difficult using React.PropTypes. One way of validating them would be by using React.PropTypes.shape, but this would again get more difficult with deeply nested objects.

A (potentially) better approach -

<InfoTile
    theme='bg-aqua'
    icon='fa-envelope-o'
    subject='Messages'
    stats='1,410',
    content=''
/>

Sidebar navigation is not working

installed project successfully, but Sidebar navigation is not working, all navigation shows me
Cannot GET page e.g Cannot GET /pages/UI/general.html

href path issue for files under views folder

I find out that the path in the html files under views folder are broken, for example, ReactJS-AdminLTE/reactjs-adminlte/views/index2.html ,

but dist dir is under public folder. Either the path is not correct or these files under views folder need to be move to public.

Could not find a declaration file for module 'adminlte-reactjs'.

project is based on typescript
step-1 npm install adminlte-reactjs
step-2 import { InfoTile } from "adminlte-reactjs";

expected result -
able to use InfoTile component

actual result
Could not find a declaration file for module 'adminlte-reactjs'. '/home/[email protected]/projects/reactJS/zymrIntranet/node_modules/adminlte-reactjs/reactjsAdminlte.js' implicitly has an 'any' type.
Try npm install @types/adminlte-reactjs if it exists or add a new declaration (.d.ts) file containing `declare module 'adminlte-reactjs'

@types/adminlte-reactjs is dosent exist

I'm trying to import dashboardV1 component. How to import it?

How to import components in dashboadV1?

I use this but still not work.

import {ControlPanel, DonutChart, AreaChart, WorldMap, ContainerOne, ContainerTwo, ContainerThree, ContainerFour,ContainerFive,ContainerSix,ContainerSeven,ControlsMenu,StatTile} from 'adminlte-reactjs/pages/dashboardV1/js';

Changes are not reflecting in browser

I installed this interface and trying to changes some text.

after making changes i am doing npm run dev
and then navigating to http://localhost:8000/ doesnt show changes

Can't get it to work with 'react create app'

EDIT: I mean 'create-react-app'...

I'm following the usage instructions but I'm getting errors in the main js file of ReactJS-AdminLTE saying that react-dom and velocity are missing.

These are the errors I am getting:

Failed to compile.

Error in ./~/adminlte-reactjs/reactjsAdminlte.js
Module not found: 'reactDom' in C:\myApp\node_modules\adminlte-reactjs

 @ ./~/adminlte-reactjs/reactjsAdminlte.js 1:120-139

Error in ./~/adminlte-reactjs/reactjsAdminlte.js
Module not found: 'velocity' in C:\myApp\node_modules\adminlte-reactjs

 @ ./~/adminlte-reactjs/reactjsAdminlte.js 1:140-159

Could that be something with the webpack config not being used? I see that there's aliases there for react-dom and velocity and paths to get the libraries from.

Can't install adminlte-reactjs

Question about project choices

Hello,
thank you for this project, well appreciated. I have a couple of question, I am React beginner but I have already created a version of AdminLTE for angular 1 in the past so I know most of its features and settings. I have some question about your choices for this project:

  • The file structure.
    • Under public I guess you replicated the relevant part from admintLte, isn't it?
    • public/libraries I see several versions of the same libraries standard and minified, why? What really used? Why not ask for these via npm?
    • it's not clear what's supposed to go under public/dist
  • The separation between jquery and React.
    It is supposed to be against the react best-practises to mix jQuery and React together but I guess this project still heavily relies on jQuery, isn't it? How are you handling this? Would it be possible to completely de-couple them?
  • How do you handle the responsiveness of the templates? This is supposed to be handled by jQuery , "working" on the body element, do you let AdminLte/jQuery do this?
  • Lastly, you package.json has quite some dependencies, if we install your project via npm are you sure all of these are necessary? Probably most of them should be moved under devDependencies? I might be wrong here..

Thanks

Charts

Hi,

nice creation you have made there. I am looking for a reach driven dashboard, and i found yours! Just wonder hows the chart support in your creation? as I dont see any chart in the demo site and clicking in to the "chart" menu item give me a deadline :(

Thanks!

npm repository

Since most react users use webpack and npm, it would be nice to have this up on npm.

Documentation about how to use

Hi,

I looked at dropping this into my application but it wasn't immediately obvious how to load this into webpack and react.

It would be great if there was some examples.

Cheers,
Andrew

webpack-dev-server + hot loader

Great work man!
just to know there are some missing lib (like webpack-raphael) when you try to run it with webpack-dev-server + hot loader.

then i cannot make it work correctly because when i run webpack-dev-server --hot --inline and i open http://localhost:8080/ the result is this:

Image of result

every html inside view i changed the path to contain correctly http://localhost:8080
what i'm doing wrong?

webpack doesn't work

Hi booleanhunter

I have a problem trying to compile with webpack the stuff

Do you know how to resolve it?

Thanks in advance

Nacho.

I have no css being loaded with it?

What am I doing wrong here?
I can see the text output of the InfoTile but I there's no CSS attached to it?
Heres my component:

import React, { Component } from 'react';
import logo from './logo.svg';
import './App.css';
import {InfoTile} from 'adminlte-reactjs';

class App extends Component {
  render() {
    return (
      <div className="App">
        <div className="App-header">
          <img src={logo} className="App-logo" alt="logo" />
          <h2>Welcome to React</h2>
        </div>
        <p className="App-intro">
          To get started, edit <code>src/App.js</code> and save to reload.
        </p>
        <InfoTile
            width = '3'
            content = ''
            icon = 'fa-envelope-o'
            stats = '1,415'
            subject = 'Messages'
            theme = 'bg-aqua'
        />
      </div>
    );
  }
}

export default App;

And heres my index.html:

Should buttons be componentized?

This page shows available buttons.

Using them is as simple as writing
<button type="button" class="btn btn-block btn-default btn-lg">Default</button>. Don't really know if it's necessary to make it a React component.

Sidebar menu should be componentized?

I was surprised to find out that there are 39 copies (for each page) of the menu. What is the reasoning behind not making it a component?

The menu gets reloaded every time you go to a menu item, destroying the illusion of a SPA.

Live previews are not working

Hi there,

Could you please fix the demo pages?

I know there was an old issue about that but I am currently trying and it's not working.

Is there a method that can be called in componentDidMount() and componentDidUpdate() to activate the menu?

I have AdminLTE running in ReactJS but I was wondering there is a method out there for setting the parent li to .active based on the child also being .active? Achieving .active on the is easy with Navlink but setting the parent class is trickier. We would also need to have li.treeview set to li.treeview.menu-open if it has active children too. I have put together the following in jQuery and put it in componentDidMount() and componentDidUpdate() but for some reason the code is not run in those lifecycle events (I suspect it has something to do with not using refs: -

$('ul.sidebar-menu li:not(.treeview):has(a.active)').addClass('active');

The following sets the li.treeview classes by event triggering: -

$('ul.sidebar-menu li.treeview:not(.menu-open)').has('a.active').find('a').trigger( "click" );

As with the code above, this too works but is not being called properly in the lifecycle events. Although is should be pointed out that the second piece of code is doing .trigger("click") on all li.treeview nodes, regardless of whether or they have children with a.active (i.e. in multiple nested menus).

Any help/thoughts/advice?

Can someone help me please :) ?

Module not found: Can't resolve 'react/lib/ReactComponentTreeHook'

Hey, so...

I created a new project with:
create-react-app example
Then installed ReactJS-AdminLTE with:
npm install adminlte-reactjs
Then, I went into my App.js and imported an InfoTile and used it. This is my code:

import React, { Component } from 'react';
import logo from './logo.svg';
import './App.css';
import InfoTile from 'adminlte-reactjs';

class App extends Component {
  render() {
    return (
      <div className="App">
        <InfoTile
           width ={3}
           content = ''
           icon = 'fa-envelope-o'
           stats = '1,410'
           subject = 'Messages'
           theme = 'bg-aqua'
      />
      </div>
    );
  }
}

export default App;

Everything seems fine. However, when I run npm start, I get this:
image

./node_modules/adminlte-reactjs/node_modules/react-dom/lib/ReactDOMUnknownPropertyHook.js
Module not found: Can't resolve 'react/lib/ReactComponentTreeHook' in 'C:\Users\Saulo Joab\Desktop\Random Files\Projetos\React\smarttramo\node_modules\adminlte-reactjs\node_modules\react-dom\lib'

Did I do something wrong? I tried really hard to solve that error but nothing worked.
