The add-on is a truly big help as-is, however a memory-resident 'chunk' that stays alive after closing Firefox might be an interesting enhancement to consider. Its very existence could be something the user decides upon in the Settings, another setting could be for how long the process should survive: until system shutdown or regardless of system shutdown/restart.

The process could be made visible (for instance) through an icon in the taskbar and the user wouldn't have to keep Firefox open to have access to the time elapsed.

The current notification goes away in 15 seconds. If I stepped away and come back, then the notification is gone.

I made some contributions to this addon here - https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/stay-on-top/ - which enables us to keep a window always on top. I was wondering if you would be able to use that code to crate a new notification window, which stays till it is dismissed. Maybe also beep every few seconds, if audio is enabled, until dismissed or quieted.

Timer starts at 14:00:00 when start is pressed. This happens both when opening timekeeper for the first time and after resetting.

Would it be possible to make like a cricle in a circle. Top one is minutes, inner one is seconds. And if we mouse over the end point we can drag it to increase it. Something like this:

Would it be possible to add a timer function (count to zero) to this add-on? A notification when the time has expired would be useful too.
