update food faq

Food FAQ is out of date (signups no longer indicate food eagerness).

Needs to say what out probable plan is, i.e. order pizza on Friday night for delivery on Saturday night.

Display verified team names

Two parts:

Part one, allow admin users to mark teams as verified through team interface.

Part two, display all verified teams below the signups form in the signups section in a pretty fashion.

Sponsors Section

Section at the bottom for sponsor logos and other general footer stuff

Mention entry fees

Add in the entry fees description inside the signups sections as well as an additional FAQ as to what the entry fee covers etc.

Edit Team signups

Allow admins to edit team signups through web interface.

This means, adding or removing members. Changing member details such as name, email address and VEC membership. changing team names.

non-university clarification

as i said on slack:

Can I have non-university students in my team? should maybe be rephrased to Can I have team members who aren't VUW students?
i mean, (non-university) students is different to non-(university students)
and it needs to mean vuw, not just any uni

Error message. Email in use.

Error message for email in use doe not specify which email. Should either explicitly state the email, or visually indicate which one needs to be changed.

Signups for unsure teams

Complete FAQ questions for people who want to signup but not sure of teams yet.

Suggestion from Ben is that members signup to grab a spot and then ask for manual intervention to remove the team before signing up witha changed team. Team can also change on the day by appraoching the group in charge.

An Issue should be launched for more tools to manually edit the team that have applied.

Duplicate emails error message confusing

From Ben in Slack.

the error you get when you have a team with dup emails is the same 'already registered' one you get if it โ€‹_is_โ€‹ registered; might be confusing

Tidy up FAQ related to prizes and signups

As Ben said:

oh, and in Do bigger teams mean less prizes? less should be fewer
Can I have non-university students in my team?should maybe be rephrased toCan I have team members who aren't VUW students?

Matt says (about the prize qustion):

It's kind of a question for you guys
Like an internal question
Seems like it's kinda just revealing that the organisers aren't totally sure what's going on, or what to do
I reckon that's an internal question
faq's should be like - 'will I get 10 emails about this thing'
And few extra's for general interest's sake
And humour if you like.

clarify reference to 'java standard library'

need to state that all classes available in a standard Oracle/Sun JRE 8 are fair game.

possibly something like:

Your game is only allowed to use the Java standard library, the ECS100 library, any code that we provide, and any pure Java that you write yourselves at or before BluJm. We consider the Java standard library to include all classes available in a standard Oracle/Sun JRE 8. This means no ...

maybe link JRE 8 to the JRE downloads.

intent is to make my software renderer explicitly legal, and allow other people to do similar things.

also, this is part of the rules that we need to be very clear about.
