Introduction

I created the Gameboy Pocket versions for

• Gaboze Pocaio (Raspberry Pi)
• Retro ESP32

I've been looking at the next Gameboy Pocket emulation, and came across your FPGA project

• Tetris (without MBC) runs fine
• Super Mario Land (with MBC1) hangs when entering the bonus level
• Super Mario Land 2 (with MBC1 and RAM) doesn't boot at all

The 12V rail seems to be underpowered to provide proper power to the audio/video system. This is very noticeable when turning up the audio volume.

Keep v-sync signals in sync in order to fix this.

Fix issues highlighted by the Verilator workflow.

Use this as a guideline.

Pin H3 apparently isn't one of the dedicated clock pins of the Spartan 7. The design should be adapted to use a proper clock pin for the 12 MHz input clock.

The whole screen seems to be shifted to the left by at least one column.
