Readabletro - Balatro readability mod

Improves readability, especially on the Steam Deck, by:

replacing the jagged pixel font with a similar smooth font TypoQuik-Bold
increasing the font's size
providing smooth graphics upscaled using xBRZ 2x, when "Pixel Art Smoothing" is enabled

Installing the mod (Windows)

download the latest version
unpack to C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Balatro (or wherever your game is installed)
run apply_readabletro.cmd - this will back up the original exe, unpack the game, update the files and repack the game

Supported versions: 1.0.1f-FULL, 1.0.0n-FULL

Steam Deck

Copy the resulting exe to /home/deck/.local/share/Steam/steamapps/common/Balatro on your Steam Deck.

To make the game even smoother, you can enable native upscaling. Go to (cog icon) > Properties > General, set Game Resolution to 2560x1600 and enable "Set resolution for internal and external display".

The cards are not smooth

The font looks good. It seems like the smooth effect was simply not applied to cards.

Version: 10.0.22631 Build 22631
Extracted path: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Balatro

"Couldn't find Balatro.exe. Copy these files to Balatro's game directory and run apply_readabletro.cmd again."

Windows 11 64-bit, copied all the files to the game's directory, literally right next to the EXE; ran as administrator; doesn't work.

Any ideas?

Steam Deck: READABLETRO high contrast darker than vinilla high contrast

As title suggests, after applying readabletro, the high contrast colors are noticeably darker than the vanilla high contrast colors.

Steam Deck: Cursor/Selector getting stuck between rounds

While using either the d-pad or joystick to navigate options between rounds (shop, blinds, and possibly more), navigating to the far right to select the card deck results in getting stuck. I am unable to use the d-pad or joystick to navigate back off of the deck. I must either use the track pad or touchscreen to move off of it.
