Rails 4.2 was released recently, so we should start the project on that platform.

I guess the handiest is to scrub the repo's contents, and use the new gem's generator to build the vanilla app. I haven't read the changeset's further-reading list yet, so I'll familiarise myself with that tonight, check for new command-line options, and whatnot, and commit a fresh app.

Database agnosticism should be maintained from the get-go, and let's strive for a 12 Factor type of application, so we can dump it onto Heroku as early as possible.

I'll use minitest, HAML, SASS and CoffeeScript, if there are no objections.
