I can see that the current implementation of Output Script Descriptors does not currently support parsing, generating, or validating the descriptor checksums as described in the BIP-380 specification. The checksum is still an optional part at the end of the descriptor expression, but it might be nice to extend the current implementation with support for this.

We only need to pass in a network parameter here because the SatResult representation includes script literals. Would it be better to instead produce a higher level representation that can be serialized later using a Network value?

This mailing list post describes a standard for expressing index ranges in BIP32 paths: https://lists.linuxfoundation.org/pipermail/bitcoin-dev/2022-July/020791.html . There are a few projects (Trezor, Sparrow Wallet) that already use this scheme.
