When an autosave happens, the player quickly jumps out then in again if sitting in a seamoth, no apparent effect on the save itself but it is annoying.
With this mod installed the save button no longer works. The button can be pressed but the pause menu no longer closes as normal nor does the game save. This mod might've been broken by the new What the Dock update

The mod works, but it only makes a single save of the game. There are no other saves being made by this mod. I'm playing the Xbox Game Pass version of the game.
I'd like to move the autosaves away from the main save slots to free up the in-game menu when browsing games.
I think this will also allow me to manage the autosave directories with more control, for example to allow for easier pruning.
Setting AutoSavePermaDeath has no effect in version 1.2.0
Autosave 1.2.0 This was successfully saving files all morning, then i deleted some of the saves except the one before last and the > last and it stopped saving. Then i deleted them all except the manual save and it started working again.

Make an optional "lock" of the game during autosave for those who like the game being locked when we save it.
This might even resolve #9 but also look at the potential performance/"time taken to save and rotate saves" if a player have many autosave slots.
Not sure how to reproduce, but while playing from a loaded autosave slot - closing the game after saving using the menu - the save was not available the next day...
Note to self, look into ordering/renaming the slots you actively choose to play to prevent this?
Look into using SMLHelper for language/translation of text displayed to the player.
I'm looking at a way to indicate what a save slot contains (is it one of autosaves' slots or something else?)
