Set operations on periods

Awesome gem, but I wish it did a little more :)

Specifically

Period.new('1/01/2020'...'10/01/2020') & Period.new('9/01/2020'...'12/01/2020')

=> Period.new('9/01/2020'...'10/01/2020')

I can do:

x.to_a & y.to_a

This is cool:

@books = Book.where(published: Period.bounded(params[:from]..params[:to]))

but I would like to do the same intersection calculation, something like:

@books = Book.intersection(:start_at, :end_at,  Period.bounded(params[:from]..params[:to]))

Rails 6?

This gem is currently pinned to v5 of ActiveSupport. Is there a reason we can't loosen that to support Rails 6?
