Hi I updated tft24 1.1 to latest firmware. touch screen works I can navigate around but no commands are sent to printer.. Marlin mode works fine I've tried resetting to older firmwares but I get no control to printer.. I'm using skr1. 4 turbo and marlin bug fix 2.0 define REPRAP_DISCOUNT_FULL_GRAPHIC_SMART_CONTROLLER.....

My brother shorted SKR 1.4 and therefore also fried the connected BTT TFT24 v1.1.

We repaired SKR 1.4, flashed new bootloader and firmware.

Now we repaired TFT24 v1.1, but we are missing bootloader.
Could you publish the bootloader for TFT24 v1.1 so we can flash it via the ST-Link v2?

Hi i have problem with firmware upload when EXP2 is connected to board. Problem is caused by the RST pin.
Any way how to flash FW without EXP2 unplugging?

When is RST pin connected to the board i get message avrdude: stk500v2_ReceiveMessage(): timeout

After updating to a newer firmware (BIGTREE_TFT24_V1.1.25.bin) the warning "Illegal FLASH APP" is shown. I've read some other issues about this topic, but I can't find a clear solution for this issue.

Someone tried different SD-Card sizes and it worked. Also there is a solution by flashing a new bootloader. Is there a bootloader for this display or is it the same bootloader like in the other issue? But I don't understand how I destroyed the bootloader by updating the firmware. The bootloader should not destroy itself during this process.

However, is there a solution for my problem?
By the way, I have an ST-Link and it would be possible for me to reflash the bootloader.

When I switch the TFT24 screen to Marlin mode, all I have is a blank screen with only Marlin Mode written at the top :(

I have checked my 2 IDC10 cables and it's straight cables

Except for the Z_STEPPER_AUTO_ALIGN as my 2 stepper motors are driven by the same driver.

I wonder if I risk damaging the TFT with the 5V logic of the ramps/arduino card passing by RS232 connection (only touch mode).

I want to use the serial touch mode of the display together with my SKR 1.3
How do I configure Marlin to get that working ?
I do not want to use the LCD12864 emulation mode because then I could use the current Anet Display which is bigger. I bought the tft to use the touch mode.

When printing from Octoprint or Cura status is displayed and no options to adjust z offset, feedrate, etc.

How to configure Marlin2 to use SD card of TFT24?
I tried SDCARD_CONNECTION LCD with no effect. I can only use sdcard of control board and no TFT24 sdcard.

I've recently installed the tft24 to my skr 1.4 turbo with TMC2209 and configured the firmware according to my needs but there is a little bug that annoys me more than anything else.
Every time I turn on the printer, it shows the message "printer is not connect" and after a couple of seconds it throws an error message (with a double buzzer noise) that reads "all low". After this strange behaviour, everything works as expected and the printer is detected correctly without any user interaction. I have tried removing the 2 exp cables but the problem persists. Any ideas?

First serial port in marlin is configured to 0 and the 2nd one to -1.

The text in TFT mode is not displaying correctly, I've flashed the new firmware bin that was preconfigured as well as one I compiled

I have a couple of new custom code commands to the custom menu. I can't access the new commands as i can't scroll off the first page with the down arrow icon

I try to send printing from octoprint with the TFT mode and is not working.
Do nothing.
But with the LCD mode they work well.

Just moved from SKR1.3 to SKR2.0 with a TFT24 v1.1

Mainly work in emulation mode. Worked perfectly with SKR1.3. With SKR2.0 Emulation mode does not detect SD card (touch does)
Also on booting I get a garbled screen. When booting with touch mode enabled the switching back all is ok.
Tried changing serail port numbers, will baude rate effect the emulation mode?

Hi, i cant seem to get the skr 3 ez to work with the tft 24 in marlin mode or touch mode. I have already tried updating the tft to the latest firmware and use the latest version of marlin.

If i use the LCD12864 Simulator i have to config SD support in marlin but if this active there will come a error if i try to print in touch modus from the SD Card on the TFT.

so SD Card only works in one modus correctly

Also i got the TMC2209 with SKR Pro not to work.

Sometimes echo window gets under screen elements.
I've found out that window gets under right after i pressing button of file icon and it starts printing.
All other echo windows appear over screen elements - on top.

i'm using BIGTREE_TFT24_V1.1.26.x (in touch mode) and MKS Gen L V1.0 board with Marlin v.1.1 firmware

Hello, i was testing my new skr 1.4 board with the TFT24 accessory (conected with the Serial and Exp1 and Exp2), works fine, after that i tried the DCDC MODE Power Supply (with the TFT24 Disconected and the NPWR jumper moved to VOT) everything works fine.

When i tried the TFT24 connected with the Serial and Exp1 and Exp2 and the DCDC Mode with the jumper moved to VOT, the capacitor C25 (near the inductor of the integrated 5v power supply) explode.

after some investigation i found what i think its a problem with the EXP1 and Serial (TFT Conector), When the jumper of the NPWR is on the VOT position the TFT Conector will be supplied with the VOT power form the DCDC MODE, On the EXP1 Conector the is supplied with 5v from the integrated power supply, On the TFT24 the 5v (from NPWR) will be the same conecction as the 5v (from the 5v on the EXP1)

in TouchScreen mode, when I run a print from SD Card, it stop working after the G29 command.
even with a simple gcode like :

G28 X0 Y0 ;move X/Y to min endstops
G28 Z0 ;move Z to min endstops
G29 ; Auto Bed Leveling
M117 AutoLevel done

"AutoLevel done" never display on 12864 LCD (still connected for test)

maybe G29 take too much time and there is an over flow in buffer on printer ?
bt actually I can't use it :(

In graphical mode, when switching to the menu

Menu -> Settings -> Feature -> Page1 = ok
                            -> Page2 = ok
                            -> Page3 = screen freezes

the screen freezes.

You can return to working condition only with the reset button.

Please tell me what is the problem?

I just update to v1.1.24.2 with new fonts and bmps. I realized, that the "Preheat" Button is new and I am glad about. But where can I change the Preheat parameter for PLA, PETG and ABS ?
The Preheat parameter in LCD12864 works proper, but the settings will not take over to Touch Mode

Hi, when I try to adjust the Z-offset, the TFT24 v1.1 is showing me a window with my current Z-offset and it is not possible to close the window. The window instantly shows up again after closing it. In the top left corner the window says: echo. I have to click close and back very fast in order to get back to the screen with the menue. Using the v11.24.2 firmware.

I got new TFT24 display and tried connecting it via RS232 cable to brand new SKR mini E3 v2 board.

However when I do this:

• D3 led comes ON
• Reset button works and when I press it, it resets printer
• screen and backlight is off
• large chip in the rear get burning hot

Seems like a hardware issue. Is there anything I can do to troubleshoot it?

PS. Tried connecting it via EXP 3 -> EXP 1 via ribbon cable, - same thing, D3 led comes ON and then chip starts heating up extremely quickly, also SKR board LED dims indicating short or something bad on the LCD board

I have LCD: TFT 2.4 v1.1, board: SKR 1.3 with TMC1130 and I check (old and new) original LCD firmware and Marlin firmware (old and new - 020007). My settings:

#define SERIAL_PORT -1 (or mix like e.g 0)
#define SERIAL_PORT_2 0 (or mix like e.g uncomment or -1)
#define BAUDRATE 115200 (or 250000)

In screen is TMC2208 and reset pin is disconnected
I have no ideas how to fix it. Please help me.

When in text mode, and the screen receives a filament out message from marlin, the screen gives option to unload, load and resume (kind of, but it's a bit clunky/unreliable).
But when in graphics/icon mode, no message is displayed and the screen usually locks up. Their is no option to resume after installing new filament.

Would it be possible to add a filament out option to the TFT24 by allowing an unused pin to be defined as a filament out sensor option like the TFT35, but with a non-dedicated connector?
e.g. one of the ENC pins or a similar pin.

Hi, have a very specific issue, my TFT 24 has lost RX absolutely. The display can not recieve signals from the motherboard (skr mini e3 v2). I can move axis through a display, but nothing else. Reflashed TFT and SKR many times, useing the last firmware, but nothing helped)

I'm using TFT 2.4 v1.1 with arduino mega and ramps 1.4 (1.6 too)
it works fine on USB power only
when i connect it to power supply it keeps restarting for ever
i disconnected the TFT and connected normal ramps screen and it working

what is that mean? is that software issue or a hardware issue

If I go to level corners in marlin mode bltouch and nozzle is on the bed if I switch to the bigtreetech touch interface and level corners both are off the bed.... Same with bltouch settings marlin mode OK bigtreetech touch crashes into bed when homing why are settings different

Hello - I am changing to a different screen on my tft24 board, and everything works, except that red and blue are inverted. Looking at the code and the data sheet for ILI9341, it seems like I need to change the value of register 0x36, however no matter what I put in for the data value for 0x36 nothing changes.

I'm looking at line 274 of LCD_init.c and the relevant section from the datasheet is attached.

Any idea what I should change to switch between RGB and BGR?

I have a Tft24 and after using it for about a month with an skr 1.3, after some minutes the screen turns white. I tried to upgrade the firmware but I have the same results. This happens in touch mode and simulator as well.
Any idea how to solve this?
