Analysing Tweets Using Python

This repository contains material for a tutorial on analysing Trump tweets using the programming language Python. The tutorial will soon be available at infowissblog.de/index.php/tutorial-tweets-analysieren-mit-python.

Jupyter Notebook

The Jupyter Notebook offers all the code used for the tutorial.

Dataset

The dataset was exported on 2020-08-04 (11:10 UTC+2 time) from the Trump Twitter Archive (@bpb27). It consists of 4243 tweets that contain one or more of the following keywords (exact word search):

  • press
  • fact
  • facts
  • information
  • cnn
  • nbc
  • abc
  • cbs
  • nytimes
  • new york times
  • ny times
  • fox
