kasey's Issues

Records Management Functionality

Some users (see: Jen Remsik and her customers at Training Tracker) have concerns around Records Management where items received need to be purged after a set number of days, weeks, or months.

Sort, search, or paginate the closed kase files

After 8 months we finally have enough closed kase files that you have to scroll a bit to see them all.

It would be nice if they were sorted sensibly in a default order. Additionally, it might be good if they didn't all display on load and were instead paginated or date delimited. A search or filter mechanism might also be handy.

Get back to kases that I don't want in my "inbox"

I have a kase that is currently responded to and I don't want to see in my queue. Case 0 on flagrant-contact is one example. I want to "archive" and if they ever respond again I want it back in my inbox.

I now understand that Destroy is a "soft delete", in the Parler of our time ๐Ÿ˜‚, there is not however any way for me to navigate to see those kases.

Case cannot be destroyed without being viewed

Our AASM configuration does not allow the transition from open to closed.

I think that's probably OK. The experience could be improved. Currently it just throws and error.

Options, in addition whatever you think, would be:

  • Only show the destroy button when the case state is not open.
  • Put the Destroy on the show page for the case.

Re-open a Kase when user responds?

As I was testing notifications I closed a kase file. Out of curiosity, I then responded to the email received as a recipient. That response appears to have fallen into nothingness. Should a kase be re-opened when new information is submitted? Should the recipient received a "Kase Closed" to set their expectation that responses will no longer be processed?
