How to store the session to prevent users from going back using the back button in the browser?

Description

In real-world applications, when the users log in successfully, they can not go back to the login page only if they log out.

Scenario

  1. Writing necessary credentials :
username: paul
password: paul
  1. Click submit button
  2. Login successfully.
  3. Click the back button in the browser

Expected

I expected to still in the home page.

Current

The app went back to the login page again.

Users should not going back to Login page using back button of the browser?

Reproduction steps

  1. clone the repo
  2. npm install
  3. Install MongoDB
  4. Using Mongo cli, create a db MyDatabase.
  5. Run the app with: node index.js
  6. Comment everything after line 97 in index.js.
  7. Navigate to localhost:3000 and login with one of the credentials listed below.
  8. Enter these credentials:
    • Username: paul
    • Password: paul
  9. Click the login button.
  10. The browser goes from login to home page.
  11. Click back in the browser.

Expected

The browser stills on the home page until the user logout.

Current

The browser goes back to the Login page.
