Gray screen of death in Safari when fullscreening multiple times about bigscreen HOT 5 CLOSED

I've been able to reproduce this issue myself, Safari 6.0.1.

More specifically, it seems to happen when you request fullscreen (by clicking on the image, in this demo) immediately after dumping out of fullscreen mode with ESC, while the image/screen is still transitioning.

This only happens when requesting fullscreen again during the transition back to normal screenmode; the inverse (dumping out immediately after requesting) works as expected -- the transition stops, and you return to normal screenmode before fullscreen takes over fully.

Yep, I can reproduce as well. I'm thinking that it's a Safari bug, since it seems to work ok in Chrome (although it may just be that you can't interact while it is animating into the fullscreen space). I'll file a bug report with Apple.

Looks like I marked the Radar as fixed in June, so I guess that means it was fixed in 6.1 / 7.
