samhain-addon-for-splunk's Issues

Make the file_name filed work for "/"

The calculated field for file_name will work perfectly... until it encounters a change made to the root directory "/" because it has a object_name of "/" and a object of "/". The result will be a file_name of "//" which is wrong.

Change this:

EVAL-file_name = object_path . object

To something like this:

EVAL-file_name = if(object=="/", object, 1=1, object_path . object)

All events get an object_type of file

Unfortunately, Samhain doesn't provide any obvious indication from the events it generates as to whether the path is a file or directory. But.. everything in Unix is a file right?

I'll investigate to see if there might be either config that can be turned on or some other turning to distinguish between files and directories.
