Does the power button built into the board itself work?

It works, but it's a momentary switch and I need a ON/OFF one.

i guess it requires time to make the xu4 gpio works well which these options. i have not used the xu4 gpio. any help is welcome.

I think we need wiringPI, you can add it easily I guess with python

ok. in fact the xu4 has a special version. but it doesn't compile on buildroot out of the box, it requires to spend a bit time on it.
