biffud.com's Issues

Randomize more things on build.

Generate more random styles at build time not to kill the DOM on page reloads. Stuff like tiles’ translate/rotate values.

Smooth out the animations?

Right now when you scroll the parallax animations move fast and slow and fast again. Ideally it would all be as smooth as it is on the lower half of the page.

Add more bios

We have new corporate overlords, we have some quotes, they need to be added

Brand assets page

We have amazing brand assets, lets make them available to the public to use on slides and tattoos and stuff.

All content put on a giant roating thinking face emoji globe

We need to use WebGL to have the entire website mapped to a 3D rotating thinking face emoji that spins slowly enough that people could theoretically click but fast enough that they'll have a hard time doing so accurately (and therefore have to wait for a revolution to try again).

Link to individual bio

I was asked whether i wanted to be credited personally or as the bad idea factory, and i said "how about credit me, and link to my BIFFUD bio".

Turns out you can't link to the BIFFUD bio!

Store all content on an unauthenticated firebase database

Lets make our website a react app that renders content stored on an unauthenticated firebase.

We can store the real content in a JSON file, and have a button to load from JSON that anybody can push to reset, but the website itself would be a globally shared note pad between resets..

"esc" should close bio modal

When viewing a bio you can close it by clicking the "X" button, but when on a desktop you might want to use the escape key to close it as well.

Twitter cards don't work

Twitter cards require absolute URLs, but gatsby image import in production uses relative urls. I don't know exactly how to fix this but I'm sure there has to be a way.

Hamburger menu glitching on smaller screens

Hiii,

This is in Chrome Version 70 on a 800 x 900 ish screen. (I was doing some web dev stuff on medium sizes and happened to click your launch tweet within that browser configuration).

The hamburger menu hops around a bit. I'm not sure why, but I can look into it.

Bio modals don't work on mobile

(tested on iOS Chrome app)

The modals on chrome mobile don't seem to be overflowing as expected. They don't have the ability to scroll, and text is cut off on the right hand side.

Accessible links please

So I'm slightly colour blind which helps :) The links are very difficult to pick out for me. Especially dark red / dark green link-text instead of black non-link text.

Would prefer links to be underlined, but if not can we have colours that stick out more significantly. Viewing the site in black and white should give you an idea.

Cheers! :)

"Fake"/"Real" FAQ titles are confusing, not in a good way

I read "Fake FAQ" not as "questions that aren't actually frequently asked" but as "these answers are fake", yet the answers are real and accurate.

Consider something like "Kinda FAQ" (formerly "Fake") and "Actually FAQ" (formerly "Real")?

Limit home page tiles on mobile.

Integrate something like react-slick for portfolol items on the home page. Or simply just show one and hide the rest with media queries.
