When installing an activating the extension, following exception is thrown in the page module, in case the TSconfig was not yet included:

(1/1) TypeError Argument 1 passed to TYPO3\CMS\Fluid\View\AbstractTemplateView::setLayoutRootPaths() must be of the type array, null given, called in /var/www/html/typo3conf/ext/backendpreviews/Classes/Hooks/BackendPreviewRenderer.php on line 61

I have just tried your fabulous extension on an TYPO3 v12 installation. Great extension, as always! It just took me a little longer to find out why I can't overwrite the backend previews of the following ctypes: text, textmedia, textpic and images.

The reason is that in the TCA
vendor/typo3/cms-frontend/Configuration/TCA/tt_content.php explicit previewRenderers
are assigned to these ctypes:
'previewRenderer' => \TYPO3\CMS\Frontend\Preview\TextPreviewRenderer::class

I therefore had to explicitly overwrite the previewRenderer for these ctypes:
// override textmedia previewRenderer $GLOBALS['TCA']['tt_content']['types']['textmedia']['previewRenderer'] = \B13\Backendpreviews\Backend\Preview\StandardContentPreviewRenderer::class;

Is this the right way, or have I overlooked something?

The supported TYPO3 version isn't defined yet in composer.json, this makes it really hard in the future to have newer versions of b13/backendpreview to be limited to e.g. TYPO3 < v12.

When showing four database records in a backend preview of an element, the order of the records should reflect the sorting order of the uidList handed to the viewhelper.
