redmond-themes's Issues

Checkboxes do now show on Ubuntu Mate 18.04

Hello! I love the Windows9x theme but I am having a problem. The checkboxes do now show up. This happens to a few of the themes in the repo. When I right click the desktop there is an empty space where the checkboxes should be (Next to Keep Aligned or Organize Desktop By Name). The Windows 95 theme works fine so I am using this for now. I am using the latest version from git as of when this issue was posted.

Here is the issue in action:

Is this project dead?

I don't see much maintenance going on - seems like the WindowsXP project is dead, too.

Menu issues in LM 18.1 [All Windows Themes]

Just got the latest version of all your themes to discover to my dismay that the menus still don't work properly in 3.2...
Here's a screenshot:

Also, in XP Themes, it doesn't show the correct menu background on CinnVIIStarkMenu

You are free to import condos-clasic theme based on adwaita gtk3.18 on your theme set.May I propose a Windows aero theme version here for you?

Luna Metallic and Olive

I was wondering, since there hasn't been a Windows XP Silver nor Windows XP Olive theme on Cinnamon for a while that is complete, would you mind doing a Silver and Olive Green variant based off of CinnXP but with the headerbars on your XP themes? BTW, I don't care as much for Olive, but mainly Silver, Silver was my favourite theme in Windows XP for a long time...

Se7en theme on linux mint 18.1

Hi !

The se7en theme is really perfect on Linux Mint 18 but since last Cinnamon Update in Mint 18.1, there is a color problem and we get Grey instead of Blue. Minor improvements have to be done to fix that.

Thanks for the amazing work !

Update Windows 10 Light Theme for Cinnamon 3.2

Hi, I really like the W10 Light theme, and was wondering if you have plans to update it, or put it on Github. I would be willing to submit a pull request with some quick fixes for Cinnamon 3.2.

Thanks.

Padding in menu instead of menuitem!

Hi,

bluedxca93 here. Can you please move padding value from .menu and GTKComboboxmenu to .menu .menuitem thx. This bug cause drawing issues on 16.04 once drawing a menu.
Implementing the padding only in .menu.menuitem and other child classes fixes the weird replicating of right and bottom border.

looks like
______I I
______I__I

should be simply:
I
___I

instead of:
.menu {
padding: x;
}

write:
.menu .menuitem {
padding: x
}

possibly this works too for something:
.menuitem:nth-child(last)
bla bla bla.

Don know if youre interested but:

gsettings set org.cinnamon.desktop.interface icon-theme 'iconthemename'
gsettings set org.cinnamon.desktop.interface gtk-theme 'themename'
gsettings set org.cinnamon.desktop.wm.preferences theme 'themename'
gsettings set org.cinnamon.theme name 'themename'

for gnome/unity replace cinnamon with gnome. Set in iconthemename with desired icontheme and (gtk) themename.

Nortamlly this message would had been send as an pm on gnome-look, but since this site behave like a living zombie its written down here.

kind and best regards

Issues under Cinnamon 4.0

I got fresh copies of Windows 7 and Windows 10 themes from the Repository for testing under the Cinnamon 4.0 available in the Linux Mint 19.1 Repository, and here's the breakages, new bugs, etc that I've seen so far:

  • [Grouped Window List] New theming classes are needed to theme the Grouped Window List applet, as it uses different theme classes to IcingTaskManager
  • [Panel Height] Choosing a panel height for your theme seems to be ignored from now on, due to no longer having the option to have the theme suggest a panel height

Apart from that, nothing really broke. c:

[Vista] Selection on Desktop is buggy

The selection colour on an icon on the desktop using the Vista GTK theme is completely black without hover and the label isn't even highlighted at all excluding the white text...

Please update for Cinnamon 3.6 and latest StarkMenu

Please update the themes which you've done the Windows 7, Vista theme and please fix the StarkMenu theme. It display's a grey theme especially in the calendar section I would like to use the Vista theme but its not yet compatible with the latest release for both Cinnamon and StarkMenu.

If you are prepared to could you do a vista theme for the File Manager etc under the "controls" section of Cinnamon settings and a vista theme for the window manager?
