Which branch for Pull Requests?

Greetings Axoloti object maintainers (@TheTechnobear @JohannesTaelman),

I have a PR I'd like to submit with a few minor fixes for MIDI clock objects. I notice that master is not up-to-date with the latest release branch (1.0.12) but I don't think it makes sense for me to open a PR into the release branch.

What should I do?

Submit the PR against 1.0.12
Branch off of 1.0.12 but submit the PR against master
Submit my contributions using some other method
