[BUG] telnet kills the server

Describe the bug
Just as the title says.

To Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behavior:

Start server
Connect via telnet
Send something
segfault

Expected behavior
Not accepting any non-game clients and most importantly no segfaults.

Desktop (please complete the following information):

OS: debian-based (should be on any OS)
HEXEL version: v0.1 alpha

Additional context
It' s not a bug many users would encounter, but it can be easily abused.
