I think the sandbox will make for a simpler introduction. There's already a minimal example here, which I think will work great followed by the counter example in the iced README.

Once all the sandbox features are explained, the Application trait can be introduced at which point only the extended features will need to be explained, e.g. async features (commands and subscriptions), flags, theme etc.
