... on the user manual: I believe that the HEAT manual is a good example of text providing all methodological information and background references without being too technical. Please confirm whether that is how you envisaged the user manual as well.

Great to see that documented. Thiago makes a good point. However, R package documentation with Travis autobuild and link to 'edit me' will be better!

Add section/annex/chapter on choice of methods. Explain:
- Reason for using OSM data
- Why we used Vara-Vela method
- How our tool relates to the academic literature
