With autoforward off, when you get to the last iteration of the loop, select an answer and then hit one of the ADC's arrows, the ADC "freeze" your response(s) and you're not able to modify it by clicking on it again or on other possible responses.
One simple fix could be to not display the right arrow(s) of the ADC on the last iteration of the loop, instead of it just disappearing and freezing the ADC when you click on it.

When autoForward is set to yes, the selected response colour cannot be seen. You can see the hover colour, but it moves straight to the next statement, without showing the selected response colour.
In the previous version of the adc we could see the selected response colour briefly before moving on.

When I select the following, the statement is not visible:

Autoforward: no
Hide next button: Always or Until itesm displayed or Until all items answered
Disable return on submit: Yes
Top buttons: hide both
Bottom buttons: show next

When I change disable return on submit to "No" it works.

When disable return is set to "1" the statement disappers.

With autoforward=on, show next button, buttons hidden, if I click on next without answering, the question goes to a different statement.
e.g: I clicked next at "Item 5" without selecting an answer, and now I'm shown "Item 1"

As a consequence, when reaching the last statment in the loop it is not possible to proceed.

For now I've hidden "Next" but it would be good to have a solution for this.
