Use Case : Product Bundle can be created via Product Bundle doctype , but requires creation of Parent Item first which makes the process lengthier. The idea is to shortcut the process of creation of product bundle which are specific to each quotation.

Prerequisite :

Custom App Settings GC (Single Doctype)

Product Bundle Item Group : Product Bundle

Create Parent Items for Product Bundle ( Is Stock = No , Is Sales Item = Yes ) and assign them the above group.

Quotation

Step 1 : User will put all the items in Quotation Item child Table , that needs to be included for creation of multiple product bundle but with single quantity (qty=1)

Step 2 : Will choose Product Bundle Based on , system will filter items belonging to Product Bundle Item Group as set in step pre-requisite

Step 3 : Save Quotation

Step 4 : After Save of Quotation, will be able to see "Create Product Bundle" button .

Step 5 : User needs to select the items and click on "Create Product Bundle" button , system will create an item by duplicating the Item chosen in Product Bundle Based on and while naming it will suffix || QUOTATION NO as below
and the description of the chosen items will be clubed in the product bundle item.
If there exist product bundle for the same quotation , kindly suffix it as - 2, 3 ..

Step 6 : System will also create a record ( for the item created in step 5) Item Price based on the base_net_total and selling_price_list of the quotation

Step 7 : System will create Product Bundle Item with the Parent Item as the item created in step 5 , and selected child items from the Quotation Item table

Step 8 : System will remove the Quotation Item table that were selected in step 5 and will replace it with the item created in Step 7 with quantity 1 and will save the quotation.

Step 9 : Now the item chosen in the quotation is the product bundle item , it will be treated as product bundle thereon.
