Hi @asamiller ,
I have placed my Adafruit NeoPixel around the tube and wrote the code to my Arduino Nano.
The flicker effect is there, but the colors are complete wrong (See https://photos.app.goo.gl/WD1bXDPi6vYL3hZTA).

Do you have an idea, whats wrong? The only changed I made to the sketch where these:
#define PIXEL_COUNT 60
And I removed the three Trinket lines in the setup method, because I use an Arduino Nano.

Do you have any ideas why the colors look so strange? Might it have something to do with the Neopixel lib? I am using the Adafruit NeoPixel lib v1.3.5. from the lib manager.

I tried the Adafruit_NeoPixel.h you provided with your sketch. Same problem.

// Next Update:
I find out, that my NeoPixel is ADA1461. It seems, that this strip is only a RGB strip. I just ordered ADA2837, which is a RGBW strip. I will post an update, when the strip arrives.
