dokuwiki-template-monobook's Issues

navigation/search/toobox disappear occasionally.

Recently after we migrate our website from an old server to a new one and get the dokuwiki and the mobobook upgraded to date, the navigation/search/toolbox area occasionally vanishes about one time a week. Touching the local.php or saving the configuration settings in the admin could fix the problem. But this issue keeps happening.
Any idea what the problem could be?

Selector for the languages don't work on the wiki

Hello,

I like Monobook a lot. It's a beautiful template, also easy to use, which I had already chosen for another wiki before. Now I want to use it here: http://wiki.linuxvillage.org/

Using Monobook with the Ponder Stibbons version, I installed it on a vhost at gandi.net, using the archive done this way:
http://download.dokuwiki.org/

I chose English and French, and I also included all the plugins available to be added in the archive.
Once installed I configured Dokuwiki to use pretty urls. I had to fiddle a bit with that. Here is the issue I meet with: at first I couldn't see the switch button anywhere, although I configured "en fr" in the administration board the right way. Then on IRC I have been told to add ~~TRANS~~ at the top of the sidebar and from then the switch button is there: but it doesn't seem to work, once the button is clicked it just comes back to the same page, and anyway it is "upside down", the main language being setup to French I wouldn't expect it to show "en" by default.

I have first posted at the Translation plugin bug page here:
splitbrain/dokuwiki-plugin-translation#52

and was advised to report about the bug here too.

Mélodie

user/print.css not being loaded

Although the file user/print.css exists it is not loaded, at least for me.

Changing (DOKU_TPL to DOKU_TPLINC) in main.php line 518 to:
if (file_exists(DOKU_TPLINC."user/print.css")){
resolved the issue for me.
The file was not found originally as the path (DOKU_TPL) wasn't correct, at least for the php function file_exists()
For the html link it works perfectly fine.

Sorry if this is not the optimal way to point this out - it's the first time I'm contributing to github - maybe a pull request would have been better (don't know yet how this actually works...)

Upload problem - 'select file' does not appear as button

Hi!

My users are confused when they want to upload files to our wiki. The reason is, that since a few months the button vanished to 'select files' (in German 'Datei auswählen'). The text is still there and you can click and select the file, but many users fail to do so. 'Upload' still is there as a button.
Is this a known problem? How can I fix it?

Thanks in advance and best regards
Frank

Sidebar/Navigation not visible to "guests" or users NOT logged in.

I added two screenshots showing the problem.

  1. nobody is logged in. Since i disabled the user registration page on my wiki, users/visitors who are not logged in cannot access my wiki , because the navigation sidebar is gone for those. but my ACLs are all open for ALL (read) on ANY page.
  2. is showing the sidebar as it is supposed to be (but only visible if someone had logged in.

template settings not being saved using Configuration Manager gui

I confirmed that setting basic configuration settings, such as template, date format, etc works.
Setting monobook template settings reports successful, but they don't actually update.

I noticed fields are missing from local.php, but they show up in local.php.bak.
Some examples:
$conf['tpl']['monobook']['monobook_discuss']
$conf['tpl']['monobook']['monobook_sitenotice']
If I copy local.php.bak back to local.php on the command line and edit them with vi, the settings take.
I verified ownership (apache:apache) on the entire dokuwiki directory structure and subdirectories.

Table of Contents with dokuwiki-2012-10-13

I've just installed new dokuwiki with the stable monobook template and I have problem with Table of Contents. It is displayed at the top of the page, with the same font size as the rest of the page, with no frame, and it takes the whole width of the article. I tried to copy a part of dokubook's design.css to user/Common.css, but I am still unable to get a frame around the TOC.

Feature Request: Recursive Navigation Box

I created a user box that I use for navigation.

The box is designed to change the contents based on the current page. This is done by checking the current namespace for a navigation page (wiki:namespace:navigation). If the page exists the contents are displayed in the box. If the page does not exist the the parent namespaces is checked for a navigation page (wiki:navigation). This continues until a navigation page is found. If no page is found a default navigation page is used.

The concept is similar to sidebarNG but is incorporated directly in the template.
Are you interested in adding this feature to the main navigation box in the template? If so I can work on creating a pull request.
