  • Zoho Notebook - Mobile/Web/Desktop app to take multiple forms of notes.

  • Joplin - Joplin is a free, open source note taking and to-do application, which can handle a large number of notes organised into notebooks. Supports import from Evernote.

  • Zettlr - Markdown Editor for the 21st century.

  • Foonote - Lightweight, portable, Git syncing tree-structured note-taking companion.

  • QOwnNotes - Plain-text file and todo-list manager with markdown support and Nextcloud / ownCloud integration.

  • Noteledge - NoteLedge is a digital notebook for designers and content creators to capture inspiration, make mood boards, and accelerate your creative process

  • Tagspaces Lite - Privacy aware, open source, cross-platform file browser. It helps to organize your files and folders with tags and colors.

  • Dendron - Local-first, markdown based, hierarchical built on top of VSCode and friends.

  • Resoph Notes Low resource usage. (No longer updated)

Knowledge Graph style

  • Logseq - knowledge management and collaboration. It focuses on privacy, longevity, and user control. Plain text files and we currently support both Markdown and Emacs Org mode (more to be added soon).
  • Athens - knowledge graph for research and notetaking. Athens is open-source, private, extensible, and community-driven. (No longer maintained)
  • Foam - Personal knowledge management and sharing system inspired by Roam Research, built on Visual Studio Code and GitHub.
  • Calculist - the open source thinking tool for problem solvers.

Do you know if any of them have a cli interface. For instance, Evernote has thrh non official geeknote...
