The repo contains simple go programs which performs operations with the redis database. The go-redis package is very vital in this repo and to understand the programs. The package can be installed in your system with the following command:
go get -u github.com/go-redis/redis
Redis is a in-memory and key-value storage system commonly used as database, cache and message broker. The fundamental data structure used in Redis are lists, maps, sets, and sorted sets. It's very simple, high performance, and very easy for atomic manipulation of data structures.
Redis deployment is very straight forward. Download the latest source and with the right package/dependency, the binary can be compiled. I found a useful tutorial:
