For the CLI, I experimented with JCurses (I have experience with curses in Python).

The goal is to support key-press-based commands (e.g. left for scrolling back 10 seconds).

I needed to have libncurses5 from the package manager to get anywhere at all.
I could make it work locally in my IDE, but just barely. Never from out of the jar (classpath issue - .
the software needs to find libjcurses64.so` on the classpath)

This is complex, so I'm postponing.

I'll attach a patch file of how far I got.
