alarm-image-generator's Issues

rtl88xxau-aircrack-dkms-git won't build under dkms for n2 and Chewitt kernel

I'm building for Odroid N2 on a RPi4 running mainline ArchArm 5.11.4-1-ARCH kernel. I'm trying to build with the following options:
./build.sh build n2 -e minimal DISABLE_MALIGL=1 CHEWITT_KERNEL=1

Pacman creates the tar.xz package without a hitch but the DKMS build fails with this:
==> dkms install --no-depmod -m rtl88xxau -v r1155.c0ce817 -k 5.12.0-rc7-7-ARCH Error! Bad return status for module build on kernel: 5.12.0-rc7-7-ARCH (aarch64) Consult /var/lib/dkms/rtl88xxau/r1155.c0ce817/build/make.log for more information.

I would like to show the log here but I can't find a rtl88xxau folder under /home/username/alarm-image-generator/mods/var/lib/dkms/ or under the RPI4 host's /var/lib/dkms

Trying to compile from manjaro hc4 image not working

Just installed the new HC4 minimal image from manjaro, but i dont find these dependecies since theyre using their own package in the repo.

I think i have to add the offical repos to the pacman list, maybe it will work then ?

[ptr@odroidhc4 alarm-image-generator]$ sudo ./build.sh build -e minimal c4 Please install 'mkfs.vfat arch-chroot' to use this script.

Documentation for how C4 image is built

I'm attempting to understand how the images on https://archdroid.org/en/images/odroidc4/ were built.

There is script https://github.com/archdroid-org/alarm-image-generator/blob/master/platform/c4.sh and I can see the TOBETTER_KERNEL path, but it appears to install kernel linux-odroid-512 rather than linux-odroid-panfrost which I find on the image.

There is no mention of linux-odroid-panfrost in the scripts that I can find. Where does it come from?

Also, how is the boot loader configured / installed?

Minimal image for HC4

Is this project still alive? I would be very interested in a minimal image for Odroid HC4. I tried to build one from a C4 Manjaro installation but without luck so far (mostly the machine hangs at some point). Could you please provide a minimal image?

Adding cross compiling

Since it is possbile on arch to install cross compiler it should work to build a image with the cross compilers.
