interlinear-bible-simple-editor's Issues

Lexicon dialog box feature addition

This is the first item that will be implemented in Phase II of IBSE's development.

Additional information about the item:

  1. The lexical data contained is: lexical form compared with contextual form; word's root and family; definitions by Strong, Thayer, and others; and occurrence of the word in other places.
  2. It will be called on clicking the displayed Strong's number.
  3. It will display the clicked Strong's number lexical data.
  4. It will have a collapsed but expandable input form for inserting translations for the word definitions of each lexicon, they will be saved on exit or change of lexical data displayed or clicking a save button on the dialog box.
  5. It will be draggable.
  6. It will have clear window borders.
  7. It will be resizeable.
  8. It could be more than one dialog box open. (Maybe in tabs, rather than in another window)
  9. It will have a search bar to query the lexical datas of another word and display them in the same dialog box.
  10. It will persist on verse or chapter change.
  11. The word occurences in it can be interacted to show the verse referred.

Preparing Brown-Driver-Briggs and Thayer's lexicon for Hebrew and Greek

Before implementing the lexicon dialog box feature it is logical to prepare the lexicon first.

Things to do for that:

  1. Get Brown-Driver-Briggs (BDB) and Thayer's in any text (UTF-8) digital format. (OK)
  2. Use it as it is OR modify so as to make it easier to be parsed in the lexicon dialog box.

The digital format is being prepared here.

It is prepared in a separate repository because it is going to be made available for translations into other languages as well.

Verse navigation elements are not responsive

This occurs especially in small screens.

The arrow button gets lost on the either sides of the screen. It should move to the sides of the translation block instead.

The selection boxes on the other hand, should stack vertically in small screens.
