@quentinnuk If you use Homebrew, you may like homebrew-appleii. Then, this and several other Apple ][ goodies become easily available. For AppleCommander:
brew install applecommander
applecommander-gui

The Mac requires an extra flag. Hopefully this is all that's needed!
$ java -XstartOnFirstThread -jar AppleCommander-macosx-1.5.0.jar

Yes that worked. Thanks. Maybe it would be possible to build a .app executable for this to make it a bit more straight forward for less technical folks.
