Some applications (e.g. appimagehub:1297572) got desktop integration inside container, so I think this error is not critical.
OS: ElementaryOS Hera - 18.04.10Ubuntu Linux 5.4.0.54-generic x86_64 (error appeared on different notebooks).
apt-file search libappimage.so - empty list 👨‍🔧️.

Provide access to the commands implemented by the app-manager as a service in order to be used by external applications.

I just installed in Ubuntu and already tried to "install/download" an app, however, I keep getting this
appimage-cli-tool: error: invalid target format

What is or are the valid formats? Because

app install --help          
Usage: appimage-cli-tool install <target>

Install an application.

Arguments:
<target> Installation target.

Flags:
-h, --help Show context-sensitive help.
--debug Enable debug mode.

Adding Firejail support to appimage-manager would allow managed AppImages to be run in a sandbox, which enhances security. This feature has been implemented in appimaged at AppImageCommunity/appimaged#41. It would be nice to see appimage-manager have feature parity.

A bit of flexibility, a la wget or curl. For example: app-manager install ... ~/bin/my-app.
